Street Fighter

Street Fighter, commonly abbreviated as SF, is a Japanese fighting game in which the players pit the video games' competitive fighters from around the world, each with his or her own special moves, against one another. Capcom released the first game in the series in August 1987. Unfortunetly it was not succes, as it was planned. In 1991 Capcom released a sequel, Street Fighter 2. The release of the game had an unexpected impact on gaming and was the beginning of a massive phenomenon. One of the characters, Chun-Li, was the first female playable character to appear in a 1-on-1 fighting game. To 1995 Capcom released extra versions of this game. Some of them had new characters, some new gameplay feautres. Then Capcom released Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2 and 3, which took the events before Street Fighter 1. Next one, Street Fighter 3, was the firt one to be released on Playstation 2. In 2009 Street Fighter 4 was released.
